Prior to admission, we ask one or both parents to schedule a visit to our school. While children are welcome, we find that parents have an easier time concentrating and asking questions when children are being cared for elsewhere. Please contact the school (508) 655-5742 to schedule a visit.

If you are interested in reserving a spot for your child, please complete an enrollment application. (We will be happy to send an application to you via mail, or you may download the application form through this website.) A one-time $75 application fee is required at the time you submit the application. This fee will be returned to you if we are unable to offer your child a spot. Please note: Barat uses rolling admissions. We do not accept applications more than one year in advance. Please contact us no sooner than the September prior to your child's intended start date for applications and enrollment information.

Once we have met with you and received your application, we will contact you regarding availability as soon as possible. As a general matter, we accept children in the order in which we meet with their parents and receive their applications, but give returning students and their siblings first priority. While we attempt to configure classes with a balance of ages and genders, we never discriminate with regard to a family's religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, marital status, disability, national origin or sexual orientation.

Once you have been offered a spot, we ask that you sign an enrollment agreement. At that time, a $500 tuition deposit is taken. This amount is credited toward the second and final tuition payment in January. We have a very limited number of spots each year. The purpose of the enrollment agreement is to secure your child's spot. Once the agreement is signed, we are precluded from offering that spot to any other child.

When our enrollment capacity is reached, we begin to place children on a waiting list. We accept children from the list whenever an existing family has a change in circumstances—such as the need to move to another area. It is our experience that approximately 5% of those on the waiting list are offered spots.
