Barat Montessori - Serving children ages 2.9 through 6 since 1974

Many parents have heard about Montessori education. Yet describing it can be a challenge. Traditional American schools are often committed to a very different approach with which many of us are much more familiar.

This overview attempts to answer basic questions. It's just a start. We encourage you to research the topic online and in your local library. Speak to parents of Montessori students. Most importantly, visit a Montessori school. Observing the process in action is the best way to learn about this internationally renowned approach that has stood the test of time.
